Custom Double Bass
-
Item #275 is a custom made double bass inspired by a semi-hollow, horned body with extreme trimming alongside with its outer contours completely flush with the sound hole paths.
Combination of both back and front plate of the instrument gives the illusion of having F-holes by its side.
-
Item #275 can be used in numerous orientations due to it’s ergonomic shape:
-Resting perpendicular to user’s lap like a cello
-Upright standing on it’s pin like a double bass
-On the user’s lap like a bass/guitar
-
The conversation I had with a carpenter in my earlier years:
-“Oh so you managed to make a working violin out of pallet wood and scraps?”
-Yes
-“Would you like to try yacht-grade selection mahogany?!”
I’ve accepted the offer in a heartbeat.
I have to admit it did not turned out how I exactly envisioned it; I blame it on schedule issues and my inexperience as it was made under a week. I certainly intend to make a superior version some day.
